The Malabar Mountain Coffee is located in Pengalengan, near Bandung, which is about 4 hours away from Jakarta. It is located at 1,400m above the sea level with a total area size of 70 Hectares and 230,000 coffee plants and about 70 permanent workers.

Curious about what the process is behind every single cup of coffee? Heard about terms like acidity, cupping, blends, single-origin, body, but not sure of what that actually means? Well, then this trip is perfect for you, because we will be visiting the Malabar Mountain Coffee Plantation and learn all these things from the experts themselves.

This is a great chance for coffee lovers to appreciate more about the intricate process behind serving a perfect cup of coffee that we often take for granted. It's also a great way to spend a Saturday away from the malls and the city - with unlimited coffee, great view, fresh air and to meet like-minded new friends

Depart from Jakarta at 4.30am to arrive around 9am at the Malabar Mountains.

Breakfast will be served as we board the minibus. As we arrive we will be greeted by a morning coffee & have discussion about coffee. After enjoying a few cups of coffee we will start our journey to the harvesting area, starting by taking a ride in their truck. We will then have a leisurely walk up the mountain for about 40 minutes to reach the area where the harvest is done. If the harvest is available we may be able to try it our self. After harvest we will see the pulping and fermentation process. Break for snacks and then ride down again. This time, we can stop by the tea plantation where we can take pictures of the beautiful landscape. Then we will ride back to the office area where we will have lunch. After lunch we will be introduced to post-harvest process including sorting, roasting and cupping, understanding different types of coffee and tasting many cups of coffee that was made with different techniques.
