Leather Wayang have been used in Indonesia as a tool to spread religion since the first century. Until now, Wayang performance is still popular due to its content. Each story brings within them, various philosophical and moral teaching that can be applicable in daily life. In our village, Wayang moral values have seeped into the villager's life and ideology. They have been accustomed to make Wayang and it became an inherited skill from their ancestors Thus, their method in making Wayang is very meticulous, taking pride in their ability to show complicated patterns and colors on their Wayang puppets.
Visitors can experience living in a village and join in the villagers activity, such as rice planting, rice harvesting, bathing the buffalo, or gardening.
While getting involved in rural activities in Wayang Village, visitors will be enriched with Javanese culture by getting involved in a set of workshop including Wayang making, glass painting, Javanese Gamelan and puppeteering. We believe that experience is your ultimate souvenir.

* We encourage participant to take night train from
city of origin to Solo Balapan Station.
* Participants can also choose to travel by train to
Tugu Station in Yogyakarta, or by plane to Adi
Sumarmo Airport in Solo or Adi Sucipto Airport in
Yogyakarta and we will arrange the pick up.
07.00 : Depart to Wayang Village by car.
09.00 : Arrive at Wayang Village, welcome drink.
Participants will be divided into several homestays
to have some rest and join in rural activities.
11.00 : Lunch
12.00 : Wayang making workshop
14.00 : Glass painting workshop
16.00 : End of Day 1, free activity. (Playing football,
badminton, and sightseeing are optional)
18.00 : Dinner (fasting break) and night rest.

* Reservation will be closed on July 1, 2014.
Terms and Regulations:
1. After you (The Visitor) book and made full payment, we
will allocate your host family randomly.
2. The food included in the tour package is halal. If you
have special dietary requirement or allergies, please
specify this in your booking.
3. The activities are scheduled based on the chosen travel
package. You can request a customized schedule
should you wish to do a particular activity that we can
provide for an agreed additional fee.
4. You are required to take good care of all properties in
the Wayang Village, Kepuhsari that you use during your
stay. All damages or loss, intentional or not, should be
reported to the owner of the property and our
representative.
5. You are required to respect the culture, religion, nature
of the locality, including to keep the area clean, peaceful
and quiet at night.
6. You are not allowed to commercially use any pictures,
photos, audio, video, or broadcasting about Wayang
Village without our consent.
7. Please keep the payment receipt that we send you as
booking confirmation. Without this, your booking is not
confirmed.
9. Your booking is final and cannot be cancelled. There is
no refund unless the cancellation comes from us.
However, you can transfer the booking to someone else
at the latest 2 days before your booked arrival date.
10. If you need to rearrange your travel date, your booking
can be transferred to be a voucher with a period of
validity of 1 month for Rp. 10,000 or 3 months for
Rp. 30,000.
11. If you have any complaints or suggestions regarding
the services that we provide, you can send them to
marketing@wayangvillage.com. We will respond to
your concerns within 5 working days. We will try to
resolve your concerns as soon as possible.
12. We are not responsible to any loss or damages to
your private belongings for whatever cause. You are
responsible for your own belongings.
13. We are not required to compensate any activity that
cannot be implemented due to inevitable force majeur,
including outbreak of war, fire, terrorism, bad weather,
closure on transportation routes.
14. Your personal information will only be used solely for
the purpose of organising your stay in Wayang Village
and will not be given to any Third Party.
15. Children under the age of 2 years will not be charged.
16. Children between 2 – 7 years old is not included in the
workshop, thus will only be charged for homestay
prices and meals. Unless if there is special requests
from visitor that their child is included in the workshop,
in which they will be charged for each workshop they
participated in. The costs would require further
communication with staff of Wayang Village before
confirmation of child’s participation.

1. Sneakers or sport shoes for hiking, visiting waterfall or the
ricefield.
2. Personal insect repellent if needed.
3. Personal medication if needed.
